If it wasn't double I'd just get the sanctuary. So sadly I think it's out.however, I priced the board and the good life and trex enhance is 3 bucks a linear foot and the sanctuary is 4, I'm not sure how this equates to double the material cost. I saw a fiberon sanctuary board I liked (the etching is more subtle looking, I think BC of the color) but was told i need to double the cost of materials to get this board. My deck will sit in the sun so I think I need a lighter board for heat. This looked kind of gross and fake and was a major turn off. The contractor I chose says he will install fiberon or timbertech but he's pushing the trex hard.Īnyway so I'm looking at trex enhance (middle priced trex) or fiberon good life (which is the lowest end of fiberon). I called a few people for quotes on timbertech and fiberon and got trex enhance quotes instead. The rumor mill in my circle is "stay away from trex, it's junk-esp if it's not Transcend." Is enhance junk? I actually went and priced the materials out and for low end trex some deck guys wanted 4x the price of the materials to install.
